Fucking hell it was just a friendly game after a long season which was designed as warm up's for the Euro games next week.

It was a nil nil bore and England did not play well but who cares. We will be at the Euro's next summer and we can play better.

I suppose we are all going to kneejerk on here in July if we draw nil nil at Colchester in a FRIENDLY.

It was more important that the England fans behaved and they did.

Bet it generated shit-loads of sponsorship money for the suits though. That's all that matters, isn't it? Make sure the administration of the game is in good shape?

FIFA had the same philosophy - and probably still will have, post-Blatter. Go FA! Go!

Players can go fuck themselves, the ten-a-penny risible, comprehensively educated street-urchins that they are.

The only way I can rationalize this game ...

...must have been an anti-football...anti FIFA anti Blatter Demonstration...

Had no interest in watching this. First England game I can remember not bothering with. No surprise to read it was completely dire. Hodgson has sucked the life out of international football for me.

English players don't need the ag to play in a friendly with a 3rd world country

Most Irish players are English

THat pile of steaming mediocrity just cost me 2 hours of life. My son's under-12 football games have more passion, desire and even skill. Both nations should be ashamed.

Just a run out before the Slovinia game

Desperate Irish hanging out for a 0-0 ideal side for Allardyces next project!

Still a good player?

Perhaps all players can extend their careers by having a sabbatical at West Ham

After yesterday watching Barca v Juventus that reminded me how shit English footballers are. And don't get me started on how boringly mediocre Hodgson is.

Robbie Keane is still a good player, he was missed today. Terrible game.

He's gone ronny, you and the old man need to just let it go now.

Keane missed so many chances to score at West Ham...he almost relegated us singlehandedly...with help from Piss poor performances from Bridge & Upton...

Re: Republic of Ireland v England
West Ham signed Ba and Keane as forwards and somehow opted to remain with Cole up front, and played both on the wings. Classic West Ham.

Robbie bloody Keane is still the first choice Ireland striker? He looked washed up when he played for us.
